About Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida

A wish can be a game-changer for a child with a critical illness. This one belief guides us in everything that we do at Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida. It inspires us to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids we serve, compels us to be creative in exceeding the expectations of every child, and drives us to make our donated resources go as far as possible. Most of all, it’s the founding principle of our vision to grant the wish of every eligible child.

Founded in 1994, Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida has granted over 7,400 wishes. Nationwide, Make-A-Wish has granted over 585,000. Make-A-Wish grants wishes regardless of race, religion, or socioeconomic status. Nationally, a wish is granted every 34 minutes. The average cost of one wish is $8,000. All wish expenses are fully covered by Make-A-Wish, creating a completely no-cost experience for families. Make-A-Wish has more than 35,000 volunteers nationwide and 60 chapters.

Our Story

What began as a simple idea from a daughter became a dream shared by a family.

It all started with a love for creating something beautiful by hand. My daughter began making handmade soaps for our friends and family—not knowing that her little creations would soon touch the hearts of so many people.

The response was beyond what we imagined. People loved the soaps, shared them with others, and began asking for more. With every request, we realized that this simple idea had the potential to become something truly meaningful.

And so, what began at home, with a daughter’s creativity and a mother’s encouragement, slowly grew into a business built around love, intention, and the beauty of self-care.

Today, we create handmade soaps inspired by nature and made with carefully chosen ingredients. Our hope is not only to create beautiful products, but to encourage everyone to slow down, care for themselves, and find a little joy in everyday rituals.
